Just a few thoughts on Praise & Worship

Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name.
Psalms 100:4 AMP

Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; Tremble [in submissive wonder] before Him, all the earth.
Psalms 96:9 AMP

I want to share with you a few random thoughts on praise and worship.

Praise תְּהִלָּה (te.hil.lah) ‘praise’

praise, adoration, thanksgiving (paid to God)1b)  praise (demanded by qualities or deeds or attributes of God)

It is clear through the definition of praise and through scripture that God commands His creation, to praise Him.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord . Praise ye the Lord . Psalms 150:6

But…No one can ever give God praise with out first being thankful. We can go through the acts of praise we can shout, clap, and make a beautiful sound that would appear as praise. But without a heart that is full of thanksgiving, for who God is, and for all His mighty acts. Your praise is only a “act”, it is like a clanging symbol or for all the Pentecostals a clanging tambourine. In the absence of thanksgiving you can not lift a authentic praise to God. You can appear as a praiser and even appease the flesh of others. Your “act” could even lead others to stand but heaven remains sat down and silent. We must cultivate a heart of thanksgiving before we can truly give God the praise He commands. One more time for the people in the back until we have a heart of thanksgiving our praise, is just a carnal sound that only moves people but will never move heaven.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalms 100:4

Worship שָׁחָה (sha.chah) ‘to bow’

1) to bow down1a) (Qal) to bow down1b)(Hiphil) to depress (fig)1c) (Hithpael)1c1) to bow down, prostrate oneself1c1a) before superior in homage1c1b) before God in worship

No one, and nothing is worthy of our worship other the Lord God Almighty, who is, who was,  and who is to come.

God is worthy of our worship. God deserves our worship. God demands all of our worship. God is a jealous God, He is a all consuming fire.

God is seeking those who will worship Him, so that He can show Himself strong through them in the earth.

But the hour cometh, and now is, When the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.   God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23‭-‬24

But….No one can ever honor God in worship without first fearing Him and surrendering to Him. True worshipers are breath taken with the presence of God. True worshipers lay all pride, freshly desires and selfish ambition down, at the feet of the Lord. Without surrender, no matter how beautiful, no matter how good it sounds, it is unacceptable to God.

I believe God is looking for faith filled worship.

I believe God is seeking for someone to fully surrender in worship.

I believe God is calling and desires to see us to become living sacrifices unto Him.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Psalms 96:9

Heaven rejoices, and hell trembles at the sound of the people of God lifting praises and bowing before the Lord in worship.

In order for praise and worship to be authentic it must be birthed from a authentic relationship with the Lord Jesus

May today be the day that our praise defeats every enemy, and our worship moves the heart of the Father.

May today be the day that our praise silences the lies of hell and amplifies the truth of heaven.

Now is the time, Today is the Day that our praise needs to be united with the sound of heaven. Now is the time, Today is the Day, for the worshipers to arise out of darkness, to bow before a holy God in reverence and full surrender.

Father,  I ask that You fill us with thanksgiving and praise. Lord gives us grace whereby we can fear You and fully surrender our all to you in worship, in the name of Jesus. Amen

As the Lord leads in the next few days I will be sharing more about the power of our praise and the life of a true worshiper. Praise is one of our greatest weapons in the arsenal of God. Worship has to be a lifestyle, it is more than a song or a service it is a life lived before God in full surrender.

God bless you in the matchless name of Jesus Christ!
